WRHF Mission
The Western Reserve Health Foundation is the philanthropic
organization which exists to support the mission of the Western Reserve
Care System of Forum Health.
The mission of the Western Reserve Health Foundation is to use
available resources:
- To promote donor satisfaction by protecting the integrity of the
gift.
- To engage in active solicitation of funds for approved projects.
- To coordinate fund raising activities and provide assistance for
sponsored activities.
- To provide the volunteer support groups of the Western Reserve
Care System with direction for their role in the development of
gift opportunities.
- To promote the image of the Western Reserve Care System by
providing a strong case for gift support.
- To manage, invest, and appropriate Western Reserve Health
Foundation funds for the advancement of the Western Reserve
Care System health services.
The Western Reserve Health Foundation will strive to create a spirit of regional responsibility and serve as the vehicle for philanthropic support of the Western Reserve Care System in its efforts to meet regional health care needs.
Contributions
100% of all contributions are used for charitable purposes and are tax deductible. Contributions are used to purchase medical equipment, fund educational and support programs.
Ways to Contribute
There are a number of ways to support the WRHF mission. Each contributor makes his or her own decision. In some cases, a tax advisor or attorney should be consulted. Following are examples of ways to contribute:
• GIFT OF CASH
This is the most typical way to contribute and includes donations that are charged to Visa, American Express, MasterCard or Discover. The Foundation can process cash as a one-time gift or as payment on a pledge.
• BUSINESS AND CORPORATE SPONSORSHIP
Numerous opportunities are available for businesses and corporations to receive community recognition for their support through event and marketing sponsorships. Small and large businesses and corporations can build customer loyalty and employee morale by demonstrating a commitment to the needs and care of local health care needs.
• GIFTS OF STOCK
Gifts of stock usually afford the donor a tax benefit and can also result in a larger gift. Notify the Foundation office of your intent to contribute stock. Stock gifts can be recorded as a donor's annual gift or as payment of a pledge.
• NAME WESTERN RESERVE CARE SYSTEM IN YOUR WILL
The Hospital has been the beneficiary of a number of wills. This means is easy to execute and is a lasting tribute.
• GIFTS OF LIFE INSURANCE
You can name the hospital as a beneficiary of your policy.
• OTHER PLANNED GIFTS
These include trusts, unitrusts, charitable remainder trusts, etc. These vehicles should be discussed with your estate planner, attorney or financial advisor. Western Reserve Health Foundation is available, at no cost, to provide information to a donor's experts in execution of the vehicle.
• GIFTS OF REAL ESTATE
Contact the Foundation office if you would like to make a gift of real estate or another tangible asset. Discuss the possibilities with your legal or financial advisors and call the Foundation for advice on wording to ensure that you gift is directed according to you wishes. 100% of all contributions are used for the purpose they were given.
